GENERAL INFORMATION AND RENTAL CONDITIONS
All prices shown are quoted in Maltese Lira and Euro and are inclusive of all taxes (VAT), unlimited mileage, third-party insurance and a 24 hour assistance.
At the time of rental, drivers must have at least a 2 year old valid driving licence. The minimum age accepted for rentals is of 25 years old, beeing the maximum 70 years old. In some cases, a daily surcharge could be applicable for drivers aged 21 to 25 years old.
There is an excess liability for accidents, fire, damage and theft, which can be substantially reduced by contracting additional insurance covers (Minimum charge 3 days):
- CDW Collision Damage Waiver:
The customer can obtain collision protection against the first Lm400/€956 liability by purchasing damage waiver at €5 daily. €7.50 for Jeeps, leaving a non waivable ecess of €120.
- TDW Theft Damage Waiver:
Groups A-D: €5 per day, excess point: €240
Groups E: €7.50 per day, excess point: €480
Covers theft of auto accessories, and malicious damage to vehicle by driver or 3rd party.
- PAI Personal accident Insurance:
Passenger is available at €2.40, and provides a maximum coverage of €9,600 and €4,800 respectively.
Other available options are:
Additional driver. A daily surcharge of €2.40.
Baby seat. €2.40 per day.
All traffic fines incurred during the rental period are the renter's responsability:
- No parking zones and yellow lines €24
- Clamping €72 fine
- Tow zone and obstructing €108 fine
- Speeding fines €75
Credit card required as a deposit.
Damaged tyres are not insured, it is the hirer's responsability to pay for damage.
All major credit cards accepted.
Very important!!
All incidents must be reported to the rentals company head office without delay and an accident report must be completed. Cars are not to be removed from place of accident before police are on the scene.
Petrol stations are open until 6:00 pm daily but are closed on sundays and public holidays (automatic pumps available). Please ensure that no valuables are left in the car. Also please ensure that the luggage boot is always locked.
